건축공방이 제안한 서울시립도서관은 도시의 중심에 위치하여 시민들에게 조용한 휴식과 지식의 장을 제공하는 열린 녹지 공간과 문화의 장소입니다. 이 도서관은 경계 없는 공공 공간을 조성하기 위한 고민으로 출발하여 설계 이야기가 펼쳐집니다.

공공도서관은 지식과 문화를 사랑하는 시민들에게 끊임없는 영감을 주는 공간으로, 커뮤니티의 중심 역할을 하며 지식을 나누기 위한 진정한 중심지가 됩니다. 이곳은 지식의 정원이자 성장을 위한 발판으로서 새로운 역할을 수행하기 위해 시민들을 환영하며 열려 있습니다.

Seoul Metropolitan Public Library proposed by ArchiWorkshop is a place of open green space and culture, located in the center of the city, providing citizens with a place of quiet relaxation and knowledge. The library begins with the idea of creating a public space without boundaries, and the design story unfolds.Public libraries are a constant source of inspiration for citizens who love knowledge and culture, serving as the heart of a community and becoming a true center for sharing knowledge. They are welcoming and open to citizens to fulfill their new role as gardens of knowledge and springboards for growth.
