Introduction

The New Tartu Downtown Cultural Center aims to provide a user-friendly and cost-effective space that fosters synergy between various fields of culture. The center’s design prioritizes sustainability and energy efficiency, while also ensuring biodiversity in the surrounding park landscape. The building follows principles of climate positive and is intended to be a consumption-free public space accessible to all, in line with Tartu’s core values of community and culture

Concept

Our design concept focuses on maximum efficiency with a minimum footprint, selecting the area surrounded by an array of trees to the south east. We lifted up the ground floor plaza to create a new public space on the roof of the building, providing an elevated viewpoint and an enhanced sense of community for visitors.

Introduction

뉴 타르투 다운타운 문화 센터는 다양한 문화 분야 간의 시너지를 촉진하는 사용자 친화적이고 비용 효율적인 공간을 제공하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 센터의 설계는 지속 가능성과 에너지 효율을 우선시하는 동시에 주변 공원 경관의 생물 다양성을 보장합니다. 이 건물은 타르투의 핵심 가치인 커뮤니티와 문화에 부합하는 기후 긍정 원칙을 따르며, 누구나 이용할 수 있는 소비 없는 공공 공간으로 설계되었습니다.

Concept

우리의 디자인 컨셉은 최소한의 설치 공간으로 최대의 효율성에 중점을 두어 남동쪽의 나무로 둘러싸인 지역을 선택했습니다. 1층 광장을 들어 올려 건물 옥상에 새로운 공공 공간을 만들어 방문객에게 더 높은 전망과 향상된 공동체 의식을 제공했습니다.
